The postgraduate thesis proposal is very important to the quality of postgraduate thesis. Every semester, the quality assurance office organizes instruction supervisors to monitor the postgraduate thesis proposal mainly through two measures: one is to supervise the thesis proposal meeting in each discipline, the other is to check the opening report text of postgraduate thesis. In the process of inspection, the instruction supervisors fully communicate with the review expert teachers and the students to have a comprehensive understanding of the facts of thesis proposal.

The check mainly focuses on: (1) the standardization of the thesis proposal meeting; (2) the quality of the paper version of the thesis proposal. The examination of postgraduate thesis proposal serves as an encouragement for the thesis supervisors to attach more importance to the postgraduate thesis proposal work. This work (1) reinforces the writing guidance for the opening text of the postgraduate thesis proposal; (2) highlights the assessment of the quantity and quality of the postgraduate thesis literature reading; (3) further strengthens the follow-up check of the revision of the opening report text; (4) actively promotes the organizational forms of public defense and Academic Activities Week; and (5) further improves the design, the requirements, and the standards of the postgraduate thesis proposal. Through this inspection, the instruction supervisors express their opinions and make suggestions for the work of thesis proposal.
